    我给大家介绍过的美国财政部保尔森部长的首席助理但·莱特先生（老唐）对孩子循循善诱，我观察他让四个孩子从选圣诞树、树圣诞树、装饰圣诞树的过程就可以看到他怎么样让孩子有参与锻炼的机会，让孩子们得到成就感，鼓励孩子尝试行动的做法，富有耐心而且能及时给孩子以指导和帮助。而相对的他的太太国薇则是另一个风格，她基本上是自己身先士卒，同时对孩子们有所要求，而且有一定的权威性。我想起自己的老爸就是比较那种和善说理的风格，而我的老妈早年就是强势下达任务并监控执行到位不到位就惩罚的角色。

    在领导学与管理学中，人们注意到价值观、团队建设、管理资源与技巧、管理经验与艺术，但是相对而言，人们对于管理角色的分工协作的价值给予的重视不够，在管理搭配与分工中有意识的角色划分意识不强，我们大部分时候得到的工作伙伴与生活伙伴是按照朴素的自然特性构成协作的。但是我认为，具有互补性的角色合作在团队管理中最有成效，因为它使不同的角色明确地担当不同的价值色彩，使其他团队成员知所进退，当然这些色彩之间也应该能够较完整地体现团队成员的心理需要与期望。如果按照我的经验判断，在核心的管理团队中可以有但不限于以下几种角色：其一是超然型角色（绿色），有一定道德威信与知识技术权威，但不过多介入日常问题与矛盾，具有中间色彩，适合作为争议问题的中间人、仲裁人与导向人；其二是控制型角色（黑色），维护制度与流程的需要，强调纪律与约定的重要性，奖惩鲜明，但要合理公平；其三是沟通型角色（红色），强调说服与引导，富有自我牺牲精神，能身先士卒，设身处地，体现柔性协作的重要，预防性地降低可能的冲突；其四是趣味型角色（花色），有意识地提升人们对于细节问题的重视，降低在重大问题上的紧张气氛，用幽默调侃的方式进行沟通，具有较好的调整僵化了的人际关系的能力。基于同类相聚的原理，人们在包括婚姻家庭、小生意等非规模组织中能够在近似或者相同个性风格的人中间得到更为和谐放松的关系，但是规模大型组织的管理则需要具有不同风格的管理角色进行组合，从而使得各种管理价值维度得到充分体现，多种组织成员可以在这个多角色构成的管理框架中发现更大的发展空间与管理接口。即使在有限规模的组织——比如家庭中，如果能够有意识地进行家长角色分工，也会在家庭治理上起到非常好的合理化效果。

"I, Robot" was this year's most entertaining Blockbuster: a lot of action, witty dialog and a fine plot. In fact, I thought the plot was so good that it was a waste to turn this project into a Will Smith vehicle. Not that he ruined the movie or anything but his funnyman performance - and the witty dialog - just kept the story from getting deep. So many other recent Blockbusters were unnecessarily lofty (*cough*SPIDER-MAN2*cough*MATRIX2&3*cough*cough*) and could have used some irony. With "I, Robot", however, it would have been a great idea to go for a more philosophical approach. The direction is very spectacular and fast paced, which isn't a bad thing, but it doesn't help to create an intriguing atmosphere, either. The special effects look great for the most parts, except when they are used to create landscapes. Sometimes a location looks like it was taken directly out of a video game. Anyway, "I, Robot" is a fantastic way to spend 90 minutes, but it's no masterpiece and won't be remembered among classics who deal with similar topics ("Blade Runner", "The Terminator", "The Matrix 1"). Pity. The potential was there. 　

 

 

 

       公司里有同事在管理人的时候，一着急就吼，吼半天人家也出不了东西，再吼，人家索性卷铺盖走人了。又有同事被其他人鼓励写点文章，另一同事就说，“你这没用，把活干出来才是真功”。这些是我们日常管理中常见的现象。大家也不以为意，但其实，大有说法。

    我们为自己或他人定工作目标很重要，没有目标就没有方向。但徒定目标不能自行，还需有相应的跟进，这跟进中有三个关键的词：赋意、赋权、赋能。

    赋意：让伙伴或对象认识到做一件事情在表面价值以外的价值、延展价值、隐藏价值及未来价值。在我写过的《如果你感到重要》一文中，我对赋予意义有专门的讨论，赋予意义使人有更多动力与以新的角度投入一件事情之中。不佳的管理者往往不仅自己不赋予意义，而且去破坏别人自己或借由其他人获得的意义，使人有强烈的挫败感，须知人如不在心理上认同所建立的意义，就会缺乏投入的热情与自觉。意义具有多重性，不见得只有一种意义或一种赋意的方式，管理者要学会尊重与肯定其他人的意义及其意义获得方式。

    赋权：让伙伴有建造、调动、调整或接触某些资源的地位、职权或条件。徒感意义，而完全不能控制条件则并不使可能转为现实，所以管理者要善于帮助对象检查各种行动的做法及其条件，并对条件的可控性水平进行评估，并适度帮助对象增加其权威、权能或获得资源的条件。

    赋能：是赋权之一种，通常主要指加强对象自身的意识、技能、知识与经验，使其具备良好的行动可能。赋能强调了“授之以鱼，不若授之以渔”，把能力建设放在实现目标的重要位置上，并且使对象具备有自主能力、独立价值，这样使其有更好的适度自治的条件。如果不能有效赋能，外在者善意发起的行动与支持就很难变成内部成员可持续的行动习惯。

    管理者不仅仅要身先士卒、事必躬亲，更要在对于组织成员的赋予水平上有提高，使一般员工与下属更多处在资源协调、教练、辅导者的位置上，这样才能更好地协调团队成员实现团体的目标。

本日场景： 今天看了古巴的印第安人保留地，最大的感受是古巴人为了挣外汇可还真花了不少功夫。在古巴人的小镇，可以看到陈旧清贫干净的场面，商店里没啥东西，可人民还蛮快乐。古巴社会表面比我们想象的好，但社会发展本身应该缺少真正的活力。

Jerry Bruckheimer's production style rarely makes a good movie but Con Air is one of those rare exceptions in which all the OTT mayhem and full-on action make a film so exciting it scorches when you watch it.
Nic Cage (in a typically bad performance) is Cameron Poe, a US Ranger who is sent to prison for accidentally killing a thug who attacks his pregnant wife. After 8 years of porridge he is freed and hitches a ride home on a prison plane called The Jailbird. But this is no ordinary flight.
On Board are a small army of America's toughest crooks including Cyrus 'The Virus' Grissom (John Malkovich) a men on death row for murder, robbery, kidnapping and extortion. Nathan 'Diamond Dog' Jones (Ving Rhames), a black militant inside for murder. Billy Bedlam (Nick Chinlund), inside for killing his cheating wife's family and dog. Pinball Parker (Dave Chapelle), a pimp and drug-dealer. Swamp Thing (MC Gainey) a pilot who knows a few things about a good hijack. And finally Garland Green AKA The Marietta Mangler (Steve Buscemi) a serial killer in for killing a zillion people and crossing 2 state borders wearing a girls head as a hat.
As you can tell, with such a eclectic bunch of psychos on board it's only a matter of seconds before all hell breaks loose. As soon as the plane is in the air the cons have taken over, restrained or killed the guards and have changed the destination from prison to South America.
Poe, being the good-hearted sort of chap that he is, doesn't rat out as his best pal needs his insulin shot and no one else will help. It's up to Poe to sneakily round up the baddies until US Marshall Larkin (John Cusack) and the cavalry can get there. Easier said than done, as double-crosses, suspicious cons and incompetent authority foul everything up. The result is action overload as the film blazes through to it's anarchic, devastating climax upon another anarchic, devastating climax. At the end you'll be left breathless and your senses stinging with over-stimulation. Con Air is everything an action film should be.
Steve Buscemi steals the whole show. His deadpan, bug-eyed and dare I say 'innocent' portrayal of a deranged killer is the centrepiece of the whole film. The scene where he sings with a little girl (and continues later on) will either freak you out or steal your heart. And the ending is the best you could hope for.
Mark Mancina and Trevor Rabin provide a loud, blaring score of thrash-metal and acoustic guitars with the usual Media Ventures flare. It's brilliant stuff and I suggest you hunt down the (sadly incomplete) score CD. And this really did deserve the Best Original Song award over that pansy Titanic one.
Superior to both The Rock and Face/Off, Con Air is Nic Cage at his (worst) best as an action hero and Bruckheimer at his best as an action producer. See it, for the love of God, see it.

I liked this movie because it reminded me very much of an old fashioned fairy tale. It was predictable and consistent and could have used a plot twist here and there , there should have been a bit of intrigue after all it is about a princess. The film was however entertaining and typically the kind that Disney has excelled at over the years. I certainly recommend this film for family viewing. Julie Andrews does a fine performance as the Queen and Anne Hathaway does a fantastic job as the princess, I think she has a great career as an actress ahead of her. A typical Disney Fairy tale and I'm glad that Disney is going back to doing these kind of movies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Based on a true story, and dedicated to ten thousand Gloucestermen lost at sea since 1623, `The Perfect Storm' is a powerful movie that will take you places to which you've never been before. Director Wolfgang Peterson has deftly crafted an intense rendering of the story of the Andrea Gail, a swordfishing boat captained by Billy Tyne that left Gloucester, Massachusetts, in the fall of 1991, and soon encountered the storm of the century. After a less than profitable trip out, Captain Tyne (George Clooney) sets out again in October, with a crew of five men, and heads for deep water and a place know as the `Flemish Cap.' It's a dangerous trek for that time of year, but he assures his men that the catch will be worth the risk. What he could not foresee, however (nor could any meteorologist), was that three major storms would converge to form a single storm, the likes of which comes along only once in every one hundred years or so. Fate steps in further when, after their catch is made, their ice making machine burns out, leaving them without the means of packing and preserving the fish. They have no choice but to go back in, directly through the storm, lest the fish spoil, in which case all of their work, and the risks taken, would be for naught. Tyne lets the crew decide; do they turn away and wait out the storm, losing everything, or do they prove that they're `Gloucestermen,' and try to make it back. What Peterson did with this film, the way he tells the story, can be likened to what Melville did with the novel, `Moby Dick;' as it moves along, he fleshes out the characters and subtly provides an intimate portrait of what this kind of life is all about. He pays such meticulous attention to details, that by the time you're in the middle of the storm, the impact is extraordinary; you know what this boat is and how it works, you've smelled the fish and the sweat and the sea, and worked alongside the crew. You know these people and what's at stake here. You know the feel of the fishing lines and the grappling hooks, felt that rush of adrenaline that comes when you hook a big one, or when a huge wave washes over the deck. He gives you so much in this film, puts you in it so completely, that it primes your senses for whatever's to come. Combine all of this with the best special effects imaginable, outstanding performances, and a terrific score by John Horner, and you're in for the thrill of a lifetime. The charismatic Clooney is exemplary here as Tyne; he knows him from the inside out, which enables him to convey a real sense of who this man is. And it shows in the way he carries himself, the way he walks and talks, right down to the look in his eye. He's tough without any unwarranted theatrics or bravura, is self-assured, but aware of his own shortcomings, as well. It's a commanding performance with nuance and depth; It's all there, and Clooney makes it real. Mark Wahlberg, also, is outstanding as Bobby Shatford, the rookie fisherman who can't stand to be more than two feet away from the woman he loves, Christina (Diane Lane). Lane gives a notable performance here, too, as does John C. Reilly, who does an emotional turn as `Murph,' the veteran fisherman with a young son he loves, and who lives with the remorse of past mistakes that cost him his wife. Rounding out the exceptional supporting cast are William Fichtner (Sully), Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (Linda), Allen Payne (Alfred), John Hawkes (Bugsy) and Michael Ironside (Bobby Brown). There are thrills and heroics to spare in `The Perfect Storm,' but it's also inspiring; once you've seen the Coast Guard in action, for example, you'll never take them for granted again. What makes this such a great movie, though, is that it's about real people, doing their jobs and going about living their lives like we all do. It's an instance of ordinary people getting caught up in extraordinary circumstances, and Peterson has made them accessible, ones with whom anyone in the audience will be able to identify. This is an emotionally charged, unforgettable film; you'll experience things from the comfort of your seat in the theater (or on the couch) that most people will never get close to in real life. And therein lies the true magic of the cinema. This is one movie you absolutely do not want to miss. 10/10.

Bonnie will play Caitlin Dowd, a senior VP for a cosmetic giant. Otto was originally cast as the cosmetics giant but has moved to a different part, Juliet Draper, the COO of a hotel chain. Meanwhile, Lucy Liu was booked as Dylan Mason, one of the quartet. Charmed Julian Ovenden will play Eric Burden, the husband of Zoe Burden played by Frances O'Connor. O'Connor's character is a top investment banker who is struggling to balance her roles as mother, wife and Wall Street whiz.
